Recipe for Beef on Weck Sliders with Miller’s Horseradish

Here's a simple and delicious recipe for Beef on Weck Sliders using Miller's Horseradish from Buffalo, NY:


Ingredients:

- 1 pound roast beef, thinly sliced

- 12 slider rolls (preferably kaiser rolls)

- 1 cup beef au jus

- 1/2 cup Miller’s Horseradish

- 1/4 cup mayonnaise

- 1 tablespoon caraway seeds

- Kosher salt, to taste


Instructions:

1. Prepare the Horseradish Sauce: In a small bowl, mix Miller’s Horseradish and mayonnaise until well combined. Set aside.

2. Heat the Beef: In a medium saucepan, heat the beef au jus over medium heat. Once the au jus reaches 140°F, dip the sliced roast beef until reaches desired temperature (dip longer for more well done and shorter dip for rarer beef).

3. Prepare the Rolls: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Split the slider rolls and place them on a baking sheet. Brush or dip the tops with heated au jus then sprinkle with caraway seeds and a pinch of kosher salt.

4. Warm the Rolls: Place the rolls in the preheated oven and bake for 5-7 minutes, until lightly toasted.

5. Assemble the Sliders: Spread a generous amount of the horseradish sauce on the bottom half of each roll. Top with warm roast beef and cover with the top half of the roll.

6. Serve: Serve immediately with a side of au jus for dipping.
